The Society encourages the formation of local Branches.

"Painted panel of the Insignia of the City of Edinburgh, gifted by Alexander Brounlie, Boxmaster to the Hammermen, and dated 1720. The Chapel was the commercial hub of the city; the committee room of the trades who controlled so much of the City’s commerce."
